So I don’t know where I’ve been, but the first I’ve heard of Chrome, Google’s new web browser, was yesterday. I looked through their 38 page comic book explaining the differences between Chrome and other browsers and I was highly impressed. It’s built on WebKit, the same engine as Apple’s Safari browser, and is supposed to be lightning fast. More interestingly, each tab is said to have its own memory process and a single tab can’t crash the whole browser. I would love to try it out, but sadly it’s only available for Windows and my PC isn’t hooked up yet. Maybe I’ll get around to it and write a review, although I am awaiting a Mac version.
